At Astek, we firmly believe that the success of our projects depends on the expertise and dedication of our consultants. Today, we’re highlighting the career journey of Mohamed Sif, who perfectly embodies this spirit.
A rich and international career
An engineer by training, Mohamed began his career in the automotive industry as a 3D Wire Harness Designer for the Peugeot 208. He then moved to Bombardier, where he coordinated between R&D and production, before joining Stellantis as Group Design Leader and later Project Leader on several strategic programs (Peugeot 208, Opel Corsa, Citroën C4, Peugeot 2008).
These experiences have enabled him to develop strong technical and managerial expertise in managing complex projects.
Astek’s Adventure in Sweden
Upon joining Astek, Mohamed joined Ourobay, a supplier of engines to Volvo Cars, as Component Responsible for sensors. For two years, he led the development, quality assurance, and supplier coordination for key components (NOx and temperature sensors).
Today, he is embarking on a major new assignment: Project Leader in the Vehicle Software Technology department at Volvo Trucks, working on a program for autonomous trucks developed in collaboration with Aurora.
This forward-looking project involves Mohamed overseeing planning, cross-team coordination, and technology integration among partners.
Expertise and Added Value
His role is not limited to technical aspects. It also involves facilitating collaboration among stakeholders with different approaches, anticipating quality and cost risks, and ensuring the seamless and secure integration of components.
With his experience, Mohamed brings not only technical expertise but also the ability to bring people together and provide structure—qualities that are essential for projects of this scale.
Mohamed was able to reach these milestones thanks in part to the support provided by Astek: tailored training, managerial support, and international career opportunities. Our role is to help our talent grow, while putting their expertise to work on our clients’ strategic projects.
With professionals like Mohamed, Astek is helping to shape the future of mobility by participating in projects that push the boundaries of innovation.
