My name is Mounir, I am 42 years old and have nearly 20 years of experience in the automotive, aeronautics and aerospace sectors (Civil and Military).
My career has been marked by continuous progression: a vocational diploma, a technical baccalaureate in mechanical engineering, a technical degree in industrial product design and finally an engineering degree in mechanics. These steps have allowed me to evolve over time across a variety of positions, from design office to training, through to industrialization.

Throughout my career, I have had the opportunity to contribute to large-scale projects:

  • Dassault Aviation, on the transfer of Rafale skills to India.
  • Safran, with R&T activities that led, 10 years later, to the RISE programme, a next-generation engine as well as the M88 & M51 engines.
  • Capgemini & Airbus Aircraft, with the set-up of a back-office in Morocco.

These experiences taught me to work in demanding environments, where technical precision and human coordination are essential.

My arrival at Astek

It was in 2022 that Astek came to offer me a new challenge: joining an aerospace project in full development, at the heart of an agile model. I chose to embark on this adventure, as it represented a natural continuation of my career while offering me an unprecedented learning ground.

MaiaSpace, a European ambition

Today, I hold a Project Manager position at MaiaSpace, a subsidiary supported by ArianeGroup, which develops reusable mini-launchers. My role is to ensure consistency between multidisciplinary teams (mechanics, civil engineering, electricity, launch systems…) and to coordinate all schedules in preparation for future launch campaigns.
In an agile environment, where each team moves at its own pace, my work consists of creating connections, identifying inconsistencies, resolving conflicts and maintaining an overall vision of the project. It is a hybrid role between facilitator, enabler and Scrum Master.

The contribution of Astek

At MaiaSpace, I was able to put my 20 years of experience to good use by structuring a cross-functional role that did not previously exist: overall schedule management. Astek enabled me to join an ambitious project and contribute to a European challenge, showcasing my expertise and adaptability.
This is precisely what I appreciate about this partnership: Astek knows how to place its consultants on projects where their expertise makes a difference, while offering them stability and long-term prospects.

And tomorrow?

The aerospace sector remains a demanding world, in perpetual transformation. The challenges of coordination, reliability and innovation are immense. My goal is to continue supporting MaiaSpace in its leading ambitions in Europe, by consolidating a robust and forward-looking organisational model.
